Even slightly disagreeing with one of the left's tenants now gets you labeled "far-right", far-right extremist, "Trumper" or MAGA. You can even be 98% on the left and get this reaction from these clowns simply by having a relatively moderate opinion like not supporting #BLM and the radicals leading it or not liking the ruining of shows and movies with heavy SJW identity politics propaganda.

I've never been one to subscribe dogmatically to labels or sides. But....for all the talk about the right being a cult right now, at least they can have a leftist on their shows without trying to get them fired because it disrupts their echo chamber. What happened to the classic "liberal" value of being "broad minded" and appreciating honest dialogue from people with diverse opinions?

"Woke" is not a word just spouted by the "far right".

A Wider Ideological Gap Between More and Less Educated Adults

Two years ago, Pew Research Center found that Republicans and Democrats were more divided along ideological lines than at any point in the previous two decades. But growing ideological distance is not confined to partisanship. There are also growing ideological divisions along educational and generational lines.

Highly educated adults – particularly those who have attended graduate school – are far more likely than those with less education to take predominantly liberal positions across a range of political values. And these differences have increased over the past two decades.

More than half of those with postgraduate experience (54%) have either consistently liberal political values (31%) or mostly liberal values (23%), based on an analysis of their opinions about the role and performance of government, social issues, the environment and other topics. Fewer than half as many postgrads – roughly 12% of the public in 2015– have either consistently conservative (10%) or mostly conservative (14%) values. About one-in-five (22%) express a mix of liberal and conservative opinions.

Among adults who have completed college but have not attended graduate school (approximately 16% of the public), 44% have consistently or mostly liberal political values, while 29% have at least mostly conservative values; 27% have mixed ideological views.

I invite anyone to present more recent data than this website provides. I doubt things have changed dramatically. If anything, I suspect that there is more of a positive relationship between education and liberalism.

Because there has always been a positive relationship between education and intelligence, I suspect that it is conservatives who start out stupid, and become more stupid with age.

The appearance of Donald Trump has certainly increased the positive relationship between conservatism and stupidity. Because Trump is vulgar, low class, and ignorant, the better sort of people view him with loathing, even when some of them agree with Trump on some issues.

The fact that Trump is ahead in the polls demonstrates the need to require one to pass a test of general knowledge and intelligence before being allowed to vote. The poorly educated people Trump pretends to love must be disenfranchised for their own good.
